6:00 am to 17:00 pm

Day 1: Welcome to Durban, KZN - Cultural City Exploration

  • Morning: Arrive in Durban and check in at their hotel. Once settled, they will be met by a professional tour operator for an exciting city tour.
  • Midday: The city tour continues combined with an immersive experience on the Inanda Heritage Route, offering rich insights into Durban’s cultural and political history.
  • Evening: Return to the hotel to freshen up. Guests can choose to dine at the hotel or explore one of Durban’s popular evening dining spots in the city.

Day 2: Departure from Durban to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park

  • Morning: Begin your journey with a scenic 3-hour drive from Durban to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, Africa's oldest proclaimed game reserve.
  • Afternoon: Check into Hilltop Camp, the park's main accommodation located in the northern section. Hilltop Camp offers a range of lodging options, from self-catering chalets to non-self-catering rondavels.
  • Evening: Relax with dinner at the camp's restaurant, savoring local cuisine while soaking in the serene surroundings.

Day 3: Hluhluwe Wildlife Safari, iSimangaliso Boat Tour & Traditional Boma Evening

  • Early Morning: Embark on a guided morning game drive in an open safari vehicle. This is the prime time to spot predators like lions and leopards as they are most active during these hours
  • Return to Hilltop Camp for a hearty breakfast. Spend the late morning at leisure, perhaps take a dip in the camp's pool or visit the on-site curio shop for souvenirs
  • After lunch, consider an afternoon Drive to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located approximately an hour from Hluhluwe. Here, embark on a boat safari on the St. Lucia Estuary to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species in their natural habitat.
  • Evening: Join an evening game drive once more to experience the park's nocturnal life. The drive concludes with a traditional boma dinner under the stars, featuring local dishes and storytelling around an open fire.
